Description

Soniashnyk (sunflower) is the national flower of Ukraine and is the name of this Venetian style mask made in Scotland to depict the humanitarian crises we are facing across our world.

Made of paper mache and painted in the colours of the Ukrainian flag this mask bears the quote by Mahatma Gandhi  “The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace.”

She sports a white dove carrying a laurel branch on her forehead as a symbol of peace, with fabric sunflowers atop her head.

She has yellow and blue ribbons for wearing and a yellow ribbon loop for hanging.
